Hans and his teams in Hayward, Rocklin, San Jose and Reno manage CHC’s engineering efforts by partnering with designers in the engineering community. This partnership makes for a seamless application of CHC products in complex heating, cooling, steam, and plumbing systems the industry uses in the built environment.

Hans landed in the Bay Area after attending university in the upper peninsula of Michigan in 1985. He spent his first five years in the Bay Area where any transplant would…near the water. He worked in the yachting industry, commissioning and repairing sailboats and delivering yachts up and down the coast. In 1990 Hans moved his focus to the industrial and commercial industry, specializing in fluid handling, steam, hydronics, and plumbing. He has served on the board of the San Francisco chapter of ASPE for the past nine years in various capacities and for the past three years has held the position of President.

Hans enjoys living in the Bay Area for its culture, history, and of course, the weather, which make Hans’ favorite hobbies possible: yacht racing, cycling, and taking his motorcycle out for a spin. Above all else, Hans is a huge family man and enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and daughter
