About Our Client
DM Kelly is a premier Mechanical Contractor founded in 2000. Their work spans the Tacoma/Olympia area. CHC’s own Dave Anderson has been working with Travis and the team at DM Kelly for over ten years. They specialize in replacement, new construction, apartments and government projects.
The Dilemma
We were contact by owner Travis Harp to create a solution for a new project he had in the works at Point Ruston Complex in Tacoma. The project name was Fish Brewery, a restaurant and brewery. Unfortunately, there was no space dedicated for the mechanical equipment needed for domestic hot water for the kitchen and restaurant in the new construction.
The Right Tools for the Right Solutions
To find the right solution, we asked Travis for a fixture count and equipment installation list for the kitchen. We ran that data through Intellihot’s sizing program and came up with a solution that used three IQ-250’s to install on the only place we could find: the crawl space wall above the kitchen freezer. And it worked!
Reliability and performance
Installation and start-up went flawlessly! The building owner was very happy with the reliability, performance, and efficiency of the Intellihot units. After the success of this project, CHC has teamed up with Travis and the D M Kelly team on several more projects.
