What You’re In For:
The Quotations Developer evaluates bid documents, including plans and specifications, to ensure that all information is obtained to bid and win a project successfully. The quotations developer will work with the engineering to develop RFI’s (requests for information) during the bid process and work with the sales department for scope adjustments after the projects are awarded.
What We Expect From You:
Review mechanical and plumbing plans to identify products on which to bid.
Extract documents from online building exchange services, contractor FTP sites, and other electronic sources for accurate price quotations.
Estimate costs of equipment, apply pricing standards and prepare quotations per company standards.
Enter quotes on the Salesforce CRM system.
Relay quotes to customers in a timely and appropriate fashion.
Monitor potential bids.
Provide active service to our customers, vendors, and outside sales engineers.
Team with Outside Sales Engineers at branch offices to understand regional sales strategy for the territory.
Provide quotes to the FlowTherm Systems national sales management firm.
Maintain open communication regarding specific accounts and project activity.
Work closely with the Business Development group to ensure clarity on potential bids.
Review awarded quotes with the FlowTherm Systems project management and engineering teams.
Discuss special pricing situations with sales engineers or supervisors.
Stay up to date on all new product offerings.
Maintain pricing sheets for all FlowTherm Systems standard offerings.
Issue companywide bulletins when pricing changes are made.
Education, Experience, and Knowledge Must Haves:
College Graduate (Mechanical engineering preferred).
Experience in the mechanical and plumping contracting trades.
3 years of experience in hydronic equipment sales, distribution, or manufacturing.
Experience with Salesforce CRM.
